About PDF/A

PDF/A is the ISO standard for archiving documents. A PDF/A file carries everything it needs to display the same way in the future, such as fonts and color information.

MyPDF converts to PDF/A-2b (basic conformance). If your archive requires a specific level or a formal validation report, check the result with the validator your records office uses.

Password-protected PDFs need to be unlocked first. Encryption, JavaScript, and embedded media are not allowed in PDF/A, so they are removed during conversion.
