How to convert a bank statement photo to JSON

  1. Choose a JPG or PNG of a statement — a photo, scan, or screenshot. Not a PDF.
  2. Pick the language that matches the text.
  3. Click Extract statement JSON. We OCR the image, reconstruct a table, then remap date, description, withdrawals, deposits, and balance.
  4. Preview the JSON and download the .json file.

Features

Photo, not PDF

Bank statement to Excel reads a PDF. This page reads a JPG or PNG. Same bank remap as Bank statement image to Excel.

Remap in the JSON

The file includes sheets[] (Summary, Transactions, raw tables) and preview (usually transactions). Image to JSON does not remap bank columns.

Not a second extractor

We reuse the bank image remap (`profile="bank"`). This is not a new Tools-grid entry.

Files stay local

OCR runs in your browser. We do not upload the image.

Honest limits

Skewed photos, handwriting, and unusual bank layouts will miss rows. This is not a replacement for your bank’s official export.

Bank statement image to JSON vs Image to JSON

Image to JSON is generic OCR. This page adds the bank remap sheets so a script can read transactions without guessing columns.

Use Bank statement image to Excel for the workbook, or Bank statement image to CSV for the previewed sheet only.

JPG and PNG only. We do not claim a bank-grade parser.
