How to convert a bank statement photo to CSV

  1. Choose a JPG or PNG of a statement — a photo, scan, or screenshot. Not a PDF.
  2. Pick the language that matches the text.
  3. Click Extract statement CSV. We OCR the image, reconstruct a table, then remap date, description, withdrawals, deposits, and balance.
  4. Preview the transactions and download the .csv. It is the previewed sheet only.

Features

Image, not PDF

Bank statement to CSV is the PDF job. This page is a picture of a statement. Same column remap as Bank statement image to Excel.

One CSV, not the whole workbook

CSV cannot hold multiple sheets. You get the previewed table (transactions when that sheet has data).

Not a second extractor

We reuse the bank image remap. This is not a new Tools-grid entry.

Files stay local

OCR runs in your browser. We do not upload the image.

Honest limits

Skewed photos, handwriting, and unusual bank layouts will miss rows. For Summary plus raw tables, use Bank statement image to Excel.

Why the CSV is one sheet

Bank statement image to Excel builds several sheets (Summary, Transactions, raw tables). A CSV file is a single table, so this page downloads the same sheet you see in the preview — usually transactions.

That matches Bank statement to CSV on the PDF job. Generic table photos belong on Image to CSV — that page does not remap bank columns.

JPG and PNG only. We do not claim a bank-grade parser.
