How to convert a receipt image to JSON
1.Choose a JPG or PNG of a receipt — a photo, scan, or screenshot. Not a PDF.
2.Pick the language that matches the text.
3.Click Extract receipt JSON. OCR and table reconstruction run in your browser, then we remap date, SKU, description, quantity, and amount.
4.Preview the JSON and download the .json file.

Remap in the JSON
The file includes sheets[] (Summary, Line items, raw tables) and preview (usually line items). Image to JSON does not remap finance columns.
Normalized columns
Line items are mapped to Date, Invoice / SKU, Description, Quantity, and Amount when those columns can be guessed.
Files stay local
OCR runs in your browser. We do not upload the image.
Honest limits
Crumpled paper, handwriting, and faded ink will miss columns. This is not a bookkeeping product.
