How to convert a bank statement PDF to Excel

Account fields
Account number, statement period, and opening or closing balance are pulled from labels in the text when they are present.

The original clustered tables stay in the workbook so you can compare them to the normalized sheet.
Honest limits
Multi-account PDFs, image-only stamps, and unusual bank layouts will miss rows. This is not a replacement for your bank’s official export.

What Bank statement to Excel actually does
This is not a thin copy of PDF to Excel. After position clustering (and OCR on sparse pages), we remap columns into a statement-shaped sheet and try to read account and period labels from the text.
A signed amount column becomes withdrawals (negative) or deposits (positive) when separate debit and credit columns are missing. Always check the Raw sheets before you rely on the numbers.
Nothing is uploaded. We do not add a watermark. Invoices have their own page with quantity and amount columns.
Questions
Does the bank statement get uploaded?
No. Bank statement to Excel reads and OCRs the file in your browser. The PDF stays on this device.
Will every transaction match the statement?
No. It is a best-effort remap of date, description, withdrawals, deposits, and balance. Check the Raw sheets before you rely on the numbers.
