Extract PDF fields
Pick the fields you want, add your own labels, then download JSON, CSV, or Excel. This is the same heuristic extract as Invoice to Excel, not a certified invoice reader.
How to extract named fields from a PDF
1.Choose the PDF, or drop it into the tool.
2.Keep the default fields you need, or add a label we should look for on the page.
3.Click Extract fields. Text-based pages are clustered; sparse pages are OCR’d in your browser.
4.Check the values, edit anything we missed, then download JSON, CSV, or Excel.
FEATURES
Your field list
Invoice number, vendor, dates, PO, tax, total, and amount due are on by default. Add a custom label when you need something else.
JSON, CSV, and Excel
JSON is a fields object plus line_items. CSV and Excel include a Fields sheet and line items when we find a table.
Same extract engine
This reuses the invoice table remap and label patterns. It is not a second parser and not Tabula-quality.
OCR when the page is empty
If a page has almost no selectable text, Tesseract runs in your browser (up to 15 pages). The PDF is not uploaded.
Honest limits
Unusual layouts, handwritten invoices, and missing labels will leave fields blank. Correct them before you download.
Free to start
5 free jobs a day. Changing fields and re-running on the same file does not use another job.
What named-field extract actually does
Invoice to Excel already guesses a few summary labels and remaps line-item columns. This page lets you choose those fields, add your own labels, and export JSON as well as CSV and Excel.
A custom field is a text search for that label followed by a value on the same line. If the PDF does not print “VAT ID: …”, the value will be blank. That is expected.
Nothing is uploaded. We do not add a watermark. This is heuristic parsing, not a certified invoice reader and not a bookkeeping product.
