How to extract JSON from a receipt PDF
1.Choose the receipt PDF, or drop it into the tool.
2.Click Extract invoice JSON. Text-based pages are clustered; sparse pages are OCR’d in your browser.
3.We normalize line items when we can (Date, Invoice / SKU, Description, Quantity, Amount).
4.Download the .json file. It includes sheets[] and preview (usually line items). Use Extract JSON from receipt for a JPG or PNG.

Remap in the JSON

OCR when the page is empty
If a page has almost no selectable text, Tesseract runs in your browser (up to 15 pages). The PDF is not uploaded.
Normalized columns
Line items are mapped to Date, Invoice / SKU, Description, Quantity, and Amount when those columns can be guessed.
Honest limits
Unusual layouts and handwritten receipts will miss columns. For named labels, use Extract PDF fields.
